Borderlands, This game is a hybrid RPG-FPS. This being so by combining first-person action & the "run n' gun" factor with the stats and rarities of guns, mods, and grenades. This game is of course a mature title and has plenty of gore, suggestive themes, and all the good stuff that I know you all want from a heavily mature title. Characters also possess skill trees and special abilities unique to them only. From my own experiences with the game, I found that Brick was by far the easiest to play with in the beginning. This is mainly because of his berserk ability which allows him increased speed, regeneration, and a megaton of force in each punch. On the other hand there is Mordecai, the sniper. His special ability is a bird that will attack the player's target with a lethal precision strike. Also, each and every character holds 3 different skill trees that ensure that you can play the same character but with different play styles.
Online Co-oP was a very nice experience but if you want to just play the game normally I would advise staying away from quick play matches. On more than five occasions I found myself being partied up with modders that like to just make some of the most powerful guns in the game. In fact, I actually know a modder myself, andI can tell you that they just like to make the final bosseson the 2nd playthrough somewhat.....not impossible. And yes, the bosses in this game are very much a challenge (takes multiple tries on your 2nd play through for almost any boss in the game).
Overall this game-with all the DLC- is very much worth buying and is a highly recommended title for the mature gamers out there. (P.S.: Brick is wickedly insane)
8.8/10
