CHARACTER PROFILE: SILVER MIST
Silver Mist (Mariana Forster), a new hero that just turned 22. She is considered among her peers to be a bit clumsy at times and some-what timid. Although she is young Silver Mist holds great powers that allow her to travel through the universe in physical or ethereal forms. She also holds the ability to manipulate minds, travel through memories, and is only limited by herself; the possibilities for her powers are endless, she is the only one that limits herself but whether or not she can handle her greater powers are another.

Although she is young Silver Mist holds great powers that allow her to travel through the universe in physical or ethereal forms. She also holds the ability to manipulate minds, travel through memories, and is only limited by herself; the possibilities for her powers are endless, she is the only one that limits herself but whether or not she can handle her greater powers are another.
She was just prowling the city out of boredom and itching for crime to erupt so that she may test her powers to a higher extent. As the sky grew dark and the clouds parted Silver Mist looked up to find a horrifying sight; she saw a meteor that was moving at blinding speeds! Mist hesitated, she didn’t know of any way that she could stop this. So Silver Mist did the only thing that came to mind, she phased into the ethereal realm. Out of fear, sadness, and hopelessness, she looked on as the meteor hit only a few hundred feet from her.
Silver Mist became a witness to some of the most horrifying sights that not even most veteran heroes would see. She saw men look in horror, women hug their kin, and children scream for their parents. As the explosion expanded within seconds all the noise, cries for help and loved ones……all had become silent. The echoes continued to scream though, Sliver Mist couldn’t get them to leave her mind. The sights of people being incinerated, ash covering the rubble of the entire city, shadowy impressions of people left into the broken walls. Mist couldn’t help but cry for all the destruction, all the lives needlessly lost, all…her fault. If only she did…something.
Before Mist could part the screams from her mind she saw something arise from the rubble of the impact. Immediately, she saw a small laser shoot from the spot that was then followed by what can only be described as a colossal energy beam that erased everything that was to the side. Silver Mist ran towards the lasers to find some sort of humanoid, he seemed to be using his abilities as though he were a novice. As she roared and charged towards the humanoid the screams in her head grew louder; the creature turned towards her and energy left his eyes like shining rubies. Energy blasted everywhere but at the last moment Silver Mist phased into the ethereal realm, she took her stealth and used it to her vengeful advantage. As the alien turned and looked from side to side Silver Mist appeared behind him. She put her hand on the back of his head and proceeded to deteriorate into mist and enter the aliens mind. Silver heard nothing now, she had used an ability that she knew nothing about, Mist had entered the creatures mind.
On the outside the creature froze like a statue while inside he fell victim to a power he never knew of before, he had no mental defenses developed to counter this new force. On the inside, Silver Mist found herself in a black void with a hallway of white doors; as she walked through the hallway, from door to door, each one opened without so much as turning the handle. She peered inside one to find a memory filled with battle and bloodshed, so much death she fell backwards a bit and stumbled. All the doors started to flutter rapidly, all the memories and death came out: shouting, crying, roaring! Silver Mist panicked, closed her eyes, ears, and proceeded to run blindly down the hallway. As she felt the violence invade her mind, prying into her very soul, Mist hit the door at the end of the hallway. As she hit the ground all the noise stopped and a sudden heart-warming love comforted her. She looked at the door and read a sign that said “Help, Please!”; Silver Mist started to open the door and saw something unbelievable. Silver saw a man constrained in chains and straight-jackets, the chains wrapped around him like cobras and suspended him into the middle of a dark void. All but one eye was covered, a glistening bright blue that peered right into her heart; the man muttered only two words that would encase a will into her heart that would never die, “Help me”. Before She could move forward Silver Mist felt a vortex engulf the world behind her, drawing her in with a power that she never felt before. She clanged to the door but the force was so strong that the hinges of this other-worldly portal were broken, leaving the constrained man to look on in horror as Silver Mist was swallowed whole by this black hole.
Silver Mist screamed as she whirled in the black vortex, spinning and thrashing her about. As she looked down there was a sight that confused her, an exit made of light; as Silver Mist was pushed through the hole she was blinded by the bright light. She looked about noticing the city in ruins, Mist turned to find the alien exhausted on the ground. Before she could act the humanoid gripped her by the throat and roared with a ferocious anger, “I am a puppet no longer! Not to the empire and certainly not a creature such as yourself!” His grip tightened and was on the verge of killing her but was then stopped. Silver Mist looked into the face of the creatures’ visor and saw the glowing blue eye underneath, she knew in that moment that the constrained man had saved her life. Silver Mist phased out of his grip when she regained her breath and escaped, she then knew that she had to do something to help the detained man inside that had saved her. Silver Mist thought that if he could save her life after opening the door then maybe, just maybe, she could detain the monster on the outside by the same means that the man was detained inside.
Silver Mist looked on at a distance but then quickly retreated from the city in ruins, she knew they would meet again and when they did meet…..she would be ready to take him.
Silver Mists abilities include: Transcending the boundaries of reality & the ethereal zone, phasing in and out (an invisibility that makes here invincible), Producing energy bolts that weaken the targets physical and mental durability, Mind Link (sharing thoughts, range for this ability depends on how experienced she is), Invasion (the ability to enter an others mind where she then can either use their body for awhile, exploit memories to weaken or even subdue enemies and eventually drawing out memories to use). Other abilities will unravel later as she matures and gains more control over her powers.
