KIEROS

CHARACTER PROFILE:  KIEROS (aka: DAVID HUDGINS)
Before I begin it is important that you know that this character is not a part of The Steele Saga.

David Hudgins, a high school student that has always found life somewhat dull. He never cared for sports or after school activities, all he ever wanted was to have an adventure; one that would send him spinning into a world of new sights, people, and even some fighting to test his power. That's the one thing that David had always wanted, power. He wanted to know what it was like to be on par with some of the strongest super heroes in the news, to fly beyond the sky into space, and to take a magnitude of punishment and still keep coming. He liked the idea of heat vision but it seemed too simple and not exciting enough; David wanted something he made up called time vision. He thinks of it as a type of future insight but only on what he is able to see. He also devised his own weakness, David wanted to be weak against those of pure heart. This way he figured that if he ever got out of control that the good guys could defeat him easily without much troub- the bell rang, it was time to move to 5th hour.

David always loved super heroes and loved the idea of being in their presence; that and having all the powers he ever wanted. As he sat in his chair at Current Events class his teacher, Ms. Murry, told everyone to speak about the assignment from yesterday. At this point David was miles away in his imagination, crafting ideas and concepts for newer abilities. In the middle of his thoughts there was a small distant siren which grew louder and louder as time went on. He asked the other students about the noise but they heard nothing; at this point the siren, which mimicked the bomb raid sirens from World War 2, had grown to a deafening sound that blocked all other voices in the room. He started to feel a severe pain in his head and grasped his ears in an attempt to stop the noise. As his hands blocked out the majority of the siren, just enough that he heard someone say, "We got his location".

David felt the chill of death crawl down his spine when he heard that. After the disturbing statement was heard, the siren died down until everything was silent. As David looked around the room and only saw students working, he relaxed back into his chair and took a deep sigh. Before he could even take in his next breathe, the bell rang; David was startled by hearing it and thought it was impossible, that an entire hour was spent in that short moment. He grew paranoid and just kept watching the clock until school was over.

As David walked out of the school towards the bus, he saw a terrifying sight; a woman in the distance, beyond the road, was staring at him and talking into an odd head set. David just moved along cautiously towards the bus, always monitoring the woman out of the corner of his eye. As he got onto the bus, the woman disappeared; at this point David was highly paranoid and was ready for someone to just shoot the bus with a missile. He never trusted the military with their "special" projects and with the recent activity in Crescent City, he wasn't taking any chances. The bus was packed with other students as it rolled from the school.

The others were restless, always moving around the bus and shouting, Davids suspicion and paranoia evaporated and was replaced by frustration for the others. As the bus started over the bridge above the frozen lake, David felt something was wrong instantly, he looked out the side window and saw a massive humanoid creature running towards the bus. A thundering impact bent the bus in the middle and brought it to a stop; the bulky monster grabbed the front of the bus and tossed it to the other side of the bridge. It then proceeded to jump on the bent middle of the bus and tear at it until there were two pieces; the students were screaming and shouting in confusion. David just tried to blend into the running crowd of frightened students as they fled the area. He looked back to see some others try to run but the monster grabbed them and tore them to pieces.

As David turned back forward he sprinted as hard as he could to cross the bridge and get to town; suddenly he saw a slight glow in the distance by the dim forest. Small beams of light tore through the shadows and sliced towards him, David dropped down on his stomach and covered his head. He felt blood splash all over him and the others dropped to the ground; as David stood up and glanced at the others around him, he was horrified to see them split in half at the waist. As he turned around in fright, the massive hand of the ogre creature grabbed his head and lifted him off his feet; the creature muttered, "Is this really our target?". The ogre contorted his rock-like face and roared, "He is but a child!". The monster then punched David right in the head, breaking his jaw and sending him into the middle of the bridge; David was staggered to his feet as he tried to gain his balance, he leaned up beside the guard railing as his vision blurred. When David regained his vision something hit him hard, the wind slashed all around him as the blurring creature came back at him. David tried to block but when the creature passed him there was no impact; He felt an open pain in his left arm and looked towards the source. He found a large open cut that lacerated his flesh and cut to the bone.

Before David could react to the tremendous pain a regular sized humanoid appeared before him. The creature that hovered before him grabbed David by the collar of his thick coat and flew up into the air a a couple dozen feet. The humanoid creature spoke English with great efficiency, "You? Heh heh heh... How could you ever prove a threat to him?! YOU ARE NOTHING!". The man held David away from himself, the energy from the forest sent a single shot, right through Davids heart. The humanoid then said, "Sad, I would have loved to see you with the Tetradonis Core, you might have actually proved a worthy opponent, heh heh heh heh HA HA HA HA!". The man threw David straight into the frozen lake with a sick thud, the creature then spoke into the monitor, "It's done, we'll wait here for your pick-up."

David, now being in a freezing lake, found himself looking back on his life, always wishing he did more and regretting his boring decisions. Blood started to flow around him, clouding his vision of the sun and making his death more imminent. David couldn't help but cry about the friends and family he would never see or speak to ever again. One last thought crossed his mind as he felt the darkness enshroud him, "I'm ready." It was that thought that gave a new light to his darkening world, the glowing orb of light came through the blackness towards his heart. Words were spoken softly into his mind, "Allow me inside your soul and we will protect the innocent, help the needy, and bring light into this dark world. I will give you the powers you seek to make this so..." As the orb got closer David allowed it to touch his chest, it was warm, soothing, and abolished of his pain. David felt a surge of new life shock his reality back, he saw the water surround him and David reacted instinctively with a massive leap out of the lake.

As he landed back on to the bridge David inspected himself; his clothes were still torn but the wounds that used to be were now scars. He looked around only to see the monsters staring in frustration, fear, and rage; their leader shouted, "Execute the Kieros!". The ogre rushed David, lunging out with punches, its thick arms moving at incredible speeds; although, David was able to dodge the onslaught of attacks with ease and struck the monitor as hard as he could on the skull cap at a downward angle. The ogre was sent into the earth with a great crater; David felt an energy charge in the area and immediately directed his attention to the forest two miles away, across the fields. He saw the energy launch in a gigantic beam this time, David took it head on without flinching; the blast left some minor scrapes and wounds but David healed instantly, this frightened the the sniper creature far away.

David said with a smirk, "Kieros huh? I like it!" The Humanoid creature flew right in front of him and said with dark intent, "I have been waiting for this moment for the past hundred years, now I get to test my strength against a real inter-galactic guardian, in other words, a Kieros!" David seemed confused for a moment but shrugged and said, "Really now? Hmm, well then, if you wanted a fight", David flew into the air and charged his mystic powers to give him a dark blue-violet aura.
 Kieros roared,"NOW YOU GOT ONE!"
