Fallout: New Vegas, First off, if you're an RPG fan, FPS fan, or survival fan then you will love this game. The graphics had a nice little tweaking from the 3rd game and iron sights make combat more...actiony. Granted there are some flaws: Disguises, glitches, and difficulty but that shouldn't discourage people from playing the game. When I first played it I kept getting the feeling that the only source of life was at New Vegas, I was dead wrong (dead a few times over, wrong actually). There are new creatures, new humanoid enemies, and a ton of new goodies that you can use to slaughter your enemies.
There are also some interesting innovations: like ammo creation, revamped workbench for inventing, and mods for your ammo and weapons. Although, there are also the down points; for example, the enemies are about three times harder than they were in the last game (and Deathclaws are just not fair). I play on normal mode all the way through and nothing has ever been easy nor has it been boring. The increase in difficulty is a great advancement since it makes the payer aware of the danger of doing activities throughout the game. Another problem I had was the disguising feature, it is really nice but went it comes down to a survival game, it is very unreasonable to force them into a disguise that has way better armor than their current rags; this got me killed three times by friendly factions. Then there are the glitches, oh the glitches; there are some of these problems throughout the game where things just won't work right. For example, I used my VATS to head shot a guy 4 times but when I activated the VATS my guy just stood their and took every shot until he died or a minute of VATS passed and was severely weakened.
The story is okay but nowhere near as good as Fallout 3's story, the emotional content in this games story is found missing really. It's a journey of revenge mainly, so I assume that the creators wanted to embrace the player to be more on the evil side this time around.
Overall, I bought it and still have it, even if it has issues that doesn't mean it ain't worth getting.
7.8/10
